Another year begins:)

Hello there!

No I didn't drop off the end of the Earth, just been very busy over the Festive Season and New Year. Hoping you all had a wonderful break and Santa was kind to you all last year!

2012 Began with a bang, loads of trials and tribulations already here at home. Over the Christmas Break my dear Curtis had fallen off his scooter breaking his arm in two places (ouch)!!! Yes been visiting the hospital on a weekly basis to make sure there is no need to have his arm filled with plates and screws! All is looking well and now we don't have to return until two weeks later when (hoping) they will take off the plaster and he can feel a little normal again.

Ive started back at work and am loving my timetable for school :):):) I'm working with the lovely Miss Tracey and we have a lovely little bunch of Prep's this year. Takes you back to where it all began with your own kids on that very first day!!!!

Loads of tears, more probably from the parents, but being a mother myself I knew exactly how they were feeling... First week down and things are starting to take place how they should be! Kids and ourselves as (teacher/aide's) are getting into routine and it feels as though we had never left, we had just received new faces:)

I'm looking forward to getting all things accomplished this year. My target is set on loosing those few extra kilo's I placed on since moving to the Tropical North and maintaining a healthy Body, Mind and Soul. I have met some wonderful new friends since we moved here and I am venturing out more then I ever have. There is so much to do and see up here it's mind boggling!

Looking forward to sinking my teeth also into some more photography this year also and hopefully getting to know my camera a little better with manual settings.

Anyhow I just wanted to say welcome to 2012 and I'm looking forward to touching base with you all again soon. I have some exciting news to share a little later on, so keep posted;) Hope this message finds you all safe and well!

Good Evening followers

My apologies for not getting this up on here sooner, but my week just gone was a hectic one!!! Just a quick question before I announce the winner! Has anyone been having trouble in logging into blogger or visiting the S.N.A blogger page????? It took me a good 5 minutes tonight to get on here?! Never had this trouble before, although in saying that I did have trouble leaving messages on friends blogs:(:(:( Anyhow, just thought I would ask.

Ahhhh the weekend is here and wow can I just say I am so looking forward to it!!!! Its been a busy week at school this week and I think both the kids and I are looking forward to some chill out time;)

Anyhow I wanted to upload my recent layout created for the Scrap Therapy website for Mandys Room Challenge. Below find the inspired dining room and my interpretation from it. I really loved stepping out of my comfort zone this week and using the inks to create my backdrop.

Good Evening Ladies and Happy Monday

Well another week begins and so much to do in so little time! I know those Santa bells are ringing I can hear them and before long enough another year will be over:(

Wowzers :o} Update on events

Happy Friday Followers;)

Wow! Firstly, I really wanted to say a big thank you to all who have already placed their layouts in for the October Sketch Challenge, YOU ROCK LADIES!!!! Some wonderful work being produced for this month and I think Im really going to have trouble deciding on a winner:o}.

Well the last couple of weeks has been busy busy busy for me as I have started full time work at the school in a Teachers Aide position... LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!! The position is very rewarding and helping kids what more can I say! So sorry there hasnt been more updates, but more brain has been in overdrive with mental stimulation. hahahaha I know hasnt had it in a while!!

Anyhow apart from that, life seems to be going ok! Taking each day as it comes and well really that is all we can all really do hey! I recently completed a couple of challenges for different sites which I will share with you in a minute.

Ive had some awesome news from "Srapbooking Memories" on one of the publications that is going to be in an upcoming magazine, so that's always nice to hear about!!! Keep your eye's peeled for Vol 14 No. 4 my layout will be in the Family photo section. I have a few more coming up, but for now will wait to hear on confirmations etc etc.

Ok, so in saying all of that above (pays to post more lol lol) I recently completed a Black and White photographic challenge for Scrap Therapy. The gorgeous Tiff Firth set a task of taking a B&W photograph and scrapping it. My layout is of Curtis, a picture I took when he was confortable on the couch kicking back and I snapped away....

The other layout recently completed was for a challenge site called TCR (The Colour Room), they supply a colour palette each week and you can either use the sketch they provide or your can create your own design, but you must use the colours that are supplied. Below find the colour palette for viewing and my layout called "Sweet as Cherries"... To my surprise this afternoon I received some wonderful news from TCR stating that I was selected as one of this weeks featured artist for this layout (yayyyyyy) Thanks TCR it certainly made my week!!!!

So I have been busy doing picnic's, park, swimming and sking. Although its only been two weeks for them on break it feels alot longer for some reason??! Happy Saturday

Hope your all enjoying your weekend! As they say "Early bird gets the worm" so I have already been up with the sparrows and out in the garden planting some veggies (yum), well lets just hope they take off anyhow and nothing eats them!!! I and the kids decided on Strawberries, tomato's, lettuce, capsicum and Beans... Will take some progressive shots to scrap.

After dinner last night there was really nothing I wanted to watch on the idot box, so I thought I would do a digi layout instead. I decided to use the gorgeous Sarah Belmont's - Bohemia digi kit from Sweet Blossom Designs.

I have a few challenges to get completed this weekend, I do hope I get the time to get these completed, as the end of the month is fast approaching and I have a lot to get done with house, kids and life in general.

Just wanted to share with you my latest creation inspired from the lovely TCR - The Colour Room challenges. This weeks Palette has a girly theme to it with soft colours and another devine room to help inspire you.

Earlier this year I was asked to take some pictures for a friend from High School with her new arrival "Eva". Honestly I was honoured to be asked, but taking photo's wasnt going to be hard as this little girl took a piece of my heart. Eva was just so photogenic and before I knew it I had taken over 100 photo's:):)

Creating up a storm ~ ATC's & Scrap Therapy :)

Good morning all.

Welcome to Wednesday, I hope your all enjoying your day so far!

Well as I mentioned in my post last night, I have been very busy over the weekend and creating up a storm. I managed to complete a full set of ATC's for the Born2create site with the theme being the Wizard of Oz! So please see below for my take on the swap.

Another challenge site I have joined lately for inspiration is called "Scrap Therapy". A wonderful and talented bunch of ladies who really make you feel welcome and share a passion for scrapbooking and photography.

There is a few challenges going for September and one of those is to be inspired by a Study room. There a three rooms to choose from or you can just do one. Im hoping to get all three completed, but for a start I have choosen to do Study # 2.

TCR - Palette # 75 & the Sweet Serenity digital kit ;)

Good evening followers:)

Well another busy weekend, comes and goes so quickly! Ekk seriously someone is steeling my days. LOL

I was seriously in the mood on Friday to get a jam packed weekend full of scrapping done and well, I did just that!!! Friday night seen me drooling over the latest digi kit from TCR - The Colour Room artist Emma Stafrace and Lyndell Quin. Oh My, I just had to have!!! Its a gorgeous palette of colours and elements, which had my mind racing over and over about how to use it.

Palette # 75 from "The Colour Room" was out and I was keen to get started on that also. Please see below the beautiful colours selected which collate with the digi kit I was talking about above.

With the colours set and the digi kit ready to go, I was on my way! See below how I used the kit for my layout this week. My layout submitted to TCR is called "Heaven". I also managed to get another layout completed to called "Time Out".

We were given the chance to purchase a wonderful digi kit, created by the clever Emma Stafrace:) Its a gorgeous kit and I really had some fun playing with it and looking forward to making some lovely transparency designs to use soon.

This weeks colours are again outstanding to help you get inspired. Its been a while since I last did a digi, so I hope its not all over the place and uneven:{

Kindred Souls - TCR Palette # 74

Happy Weekend Everyone:)

Well after a very busy week here at home with some visitors who stayed with us, leaving to go back to their homelands (Germany and U.K.)I had the super urge to get some scrapping done for TCR (The Colour Room) and the gorgeous colour palette they supplied # 74.

This weeks colours are just gorgeous and I must say another stunning example to help you get inspired. I used some of the paper flowers I have been creating lately on it.

My layout is called "Kindred Souls". My dear friend of 8 years Cindy came to visit me in late August this year!! It was the first time we had met in person, yes I know, if you could imagine how excited I was after speaking with Cindy via Phone and internet for all these years, she was finally going to be right here in the flesh!!! Are lives run parrallel and probably most people couldnt believe that so many things happen at the same time, but with Cindy and I THEY DO!!!!

We have shared many fun, sad and exciting moments in each other's lives and and Im glad to call her my friend/Sis. I hope you like my design in as much as I enjoyed creating it.

October ATC Swap

Another month has come and gone so quickly, I seriously wondering if I shut my eye's at night and the world skips a week! lol

Since I didnt set any ATC Challenge for September, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in getting a head start on the October Challenge which is Quilling? I would really love 9 artists to complete this so it doesn't exceed a full sleeve for the ATC presentation sheet.

So if you think your up for the challenge, please leave a comment and I will update the list to complete the nine participants. Any person participating, will be required to address the completed ATC's to my address with a self addressed and stamped envelope so I can return them back to you!!!

Good Evening

Just wanted to share my recent attempt at the challenge from "The Colour Room", palette # 73. This weeks colours are just devine and to have a fantastic example to help you get inspired what more can I say then, Lets get started!!!

Looking at the inspired picture from TCR, I decided on my photo and title based on the major colour being Orange, hence the title "Squeeze Me" lol. I also did some quilling to make my orange piece on the right hand side of the photograph.

I had so much fun with this challenge and I look forward to the next coming up;)

Finally meeting Cindy after 8 Years

Good Morning

Well another week begins, but Im on cloud nine!

On Friday I finally got the chance to meet a very special person, whom I have been in touch with via internet for the last 8 years. My beuatiful and dear friend Cindy. We are kindred spirits and follow a sisterhood path, one most people would not believe. I met Cindy at an online store based in Tasmania called KSK, so without KSK I wouldnt have got to know her, so for them I am thankful.

We started to chat on msn most days and weekends and our friendship went from there! Sharing our lives and passion for scrapping, we havent looked back. We have been through so much together even though different states apart, Cindy being in VIC and at the time I lived in NSW before moving to QLD.

We call each other Sis, really because that is what we are!!!! I love her with all my heart and am proud to call her my BFF:)

The joy of being a scrapbooker is that you do meet some wonderful people, who can call life long friends, Im appreciative of that for sure :):)

Well its Friday again, seriously were does the time go! Anyhow not complaining, life is good and very busy at the moment, but Yahoo to the weekend.

I have some major plans in action at present but I will fill you in with them later on when confirmed;)

I recieved a letter from SBM this week, saying that they wanted a recent layout that I had created, so that certainly made my week and after all taking some time off from scrapping I certainly was waiting on painted breath as to weather or not I would even get the go ahead, so I am a very happy camper at the moment :):):):) Will let you know the date of Publication later on.

Im really enjoying scrapping again and being in touch with all the wonderful people I have met along the way, its so nice to be welcomed back with open arms. Life can get you down I guess, but when you learn to appreciate what scrapping can bring to you, then the possabilities are endless.

Anyhow will touch base again soon and let you in on some upcoming events for SNA.... September brings new challenges here so look forward to a Sketch Challenge and an ATC swap :):)

The Colour Room Challenge

Good Evening

Well, I set out over the weekend to look for another challenge site and I certainly found a fantastic one. Its called "The Colour Room". A friendly place for everyone to share their creations and have a go at some beautiful colour themed challenges.

I decided to get right into it and participate in the current challenge for the colour palette # 72. Below you will see the inspiration given and you can even attempt the sketch provided.

So without further a do, please see my interpretation of the sketch and colour theme.

My layout is called "A little Spice, but just add sugar". The tag on the layout came from an item of clothing I picked up a while ago and I had in my stash of goodies.

Appreciate Scrapping

Good Morning

Well its official, I'm back int o scrapping and loving it! I know I have poorly neglected my blog and my scrapping, but I think there comes a time when it all just becomes too much with everything else going on in our lives, so I opted to take a break, plus it also made me appreciate the rel reasons I love scrapping too.

I recently moved to beautiful Cairns and feeling like I'm back home finally! Yayyyy Everything going really well! Kids are very happy and settled and life seems to be panning out just the way I have always wanted it too. Anyhow enough about all of that, just wanted to let you know where I have been for a few months.

In the last week I have especially been feeling like I wanted to really sink my teeth into a few layouts, so i decided to get messy and here is what I have come up with.

Just wanted to share with you my finished ATC for the January swap here at Scrap.n.Art. The idea came from some wonderful papers I had come across some time ago but didn't know how I was going to use them.

The usual thing happened I woke one morning last week with idea of how I was going to create my animal ATC and here is the finished product.

Well firstly I would like to say a big Happy New Year!!!! I do hope you all had a nice break over Christmas and are ready for an eventful and exciting 2011.

Well as per last year this year I'm still running the ATC swap for Scrap.n.Art and I have planned the whole year!! I do hope you can participate. I will still place the theme up in the last week of the previous month so I can see who would like to participate.

I am a mother of 3 daughters Mackenzie 7, Mia 4 and Isla 3, and wife to my best friend and high school sweetheart, Malcolm. I first started scrapbooking in 2006.

I think I've always been a scrapbooker, as I've always taken photos and kept concert tickets and other memorabilia. Having 3 daughters my layouts are often very girly, pink and full of flowers. I don't have a particular style, but I love to tear and distress paper and hand making flowers is pretty popular on my layouts at the moment. 2010 has been a great year for me personally, as a scrapbooker.

Scrapbooking Memories has said that they will publish one of my layouts, I got a position on the DT with scrapbooking4less and I am one of the 12 finalists in the Scrapbook Apprentice competition (which is run by print blocks and published bimonthly in the Creativity magazine).

ATC's, Friends and School Holidays:)

Good Morning

Well lately I've been busy creating ATC and enjoying the start of the school holidays with the kids.

Last weekend was the Private swap with the ladies over at Helensvale, was a great day with some fantastic creations been swapped and I also got to spend some quality time with Emma and had a little shop around and much needed chin wagging. LOL

So I wanted to share with you some of my latestest creations.

NO PAPER SWAP - HELENSVALE

This swap was daunting at the start, but once I got my idea into my head in regards to what element I was going to use, I got stuck into it and came up with my melted plastic creation of Reduce,Reuse,Recycle,Recraft ATC. Loads of laminating and combining, but am happy with my result.

BURLESQUE - OCTOBER SWAP

This was a fun and fantastic theme set for October. I decided that I wanted to have different set colours for the swap, so I chose Pink, Orange, purple, blue and turquoise. Lots of cutting out for the ladies, but created the effect I wanted.

REVOLUTION - SNA SEPTEMBER SWAP

September's theme on my site was set for Revolution this month, although I have had many queries in relation to this, the ladies are coming up with some brilliant and different ideas for this one and I cant wait to send out their full sets. I decided to run with World Revolution for my choice. The world is in our hands so they say, so I decided to do just that and use hands in the shape of the world.

Postage Stamp - Born 2 Create NOVEMBER SWAP

Wow! Talk about intuition on this swap. Last week I was cleaning out my scrap area and for month's now I have been collecting my postage stamps, just in case there was a swap using stamps. I was going to chuck them out!!!!! Ekkkkk thanks intuition for making me keep them. For the month of November Born2create are having a postage stamp Swap:):) So I didn't waste any time, I got into action and started to create my ATC's! Ive finished my set and sent them off:)

I got to catch up with Emma during last week and she gave me a lovely little surprise a layout that she had made for a weekend retreat here on the Gold Coast earlier in the year. I was really taken by this and its just such a gorgeous page she has done for me, I think this one will be going on a canvas or frame. Thanks a million Emma:):) I LOVE IT!!!!

Monday was the start to the school holidays here in Queensland, but with that came rain:( Poor kids they are getting a little stir crazy with the weather, but we've had loads of fun watching movies, eating popcorn and doing some arty stuff. Yesterday they decided that they wanted Piklets with banana, strawberries and cream. So off I went and here is the end result. YUMMMM

Anyhow apart from that, been keeping myself pretty busy and am looking forward to the next time I truly get to sit down and make a 12x12 layout. Hope this message finds you all safe and well, until then take care of yourselves and each other:)

My name is Tracey Hunter and I have been scrapping for ages now but really only seriously, compulsively feeding my addiction for the last 3 years....lol

I live in Sydney with my husband and our gorgeous kids. Our oldest (22) has 2 gorgeous boys of his own and the 3 other kids (16, 10 & 8) all provide heaps of photos, plenty of laughs and inspiration.

I have been published in Scrapbooking Memories, Scrapbook Creations & Creative Paper.
Recently I have gone back to work so my creative time is scarce at the moment but I can always be inspired by a brilliant sketch or an OTP.

I don't think I have a particular style but I love having plenty of layering on my layouts and
I love using Colour creatively.

Hi Everyone,

I'm Lys I have been scrapbooking for 6.5 years now and LOVE it! I am currently studying photography which works nicely with my scrapping :)
I live in the sticks.. LOL no it's not that bad we are in Forbes, NSW (near Orange and Dubbo). I live with my wonderful fiance Robert and our 2 adorable boys Jayden (3) and Mason (7 months). I have my first layout publication being published in the next issue 81 of Scrapbook Creations and I have sent off another layout last week to Scrapbooking Memories. I don't have any particular style.. Hi ya, I am Deb Mitchell & I live in Rockhampton central Qld & have 4 sons- 3 of those being adults. The youngest, Brody, is 5yrs old.

I started scrapbooking back in Jan 2006 after seeing my Mum's work on a holiday in Toowoomba. The passion for it grew & I was constantly trying new ideas to find a style that both I liked & suited me & hence my passion for Collage came into being. As the years have slipped by, I also found the passion to work with brights & things that are a little different to the norm.

6 months ago, the gorgeous Vic Bailey introduced me to Magnolia stamps & wow, that passion hit me like a brick & it also brought about my love of cards & stamps- thanks Vic lol! Good Evening everyone

Wow! What a busy little whirlwind I have been of recent, but everyday sets new challenges, all I can do is take one day at a time.

Just thought I would share with you my latest excitement of being published with a feature article in the Vol 12 No. 6 Scrapbooking Memories Magazine. The feature article was to create a 6" x 6" layout or OTP in regards to inking and stamping. A massive honour from them to be featured and you can see more on page 73 of this issue to see my creation and details.

Today's a new day!

Good Morning

Well as some of you are aware, my life is in a flat spin at the moment, but I am writing this post today, to bring myself out of the rut and get on with my life!

I woke up this morning after finally getting a full nights sleep with a positive attitude that I am going to make my life what I make it! No use sitting here wondering about what could have been or stressing myself out about the fact that I cant changed what has happened, because after all there are wonderful aspects in my life that truly make me happy already, even if these things stroll by to disrupt it!

So today I am thankful of the fact I have a beautiful family that loves me for who I am and know who I really am as a human being, your support to me is unbelievable I LOVE YOU SO MUCH.

To my resilient children, who never cease to amaze me, you are mummies world and I wouldn't have it any other way, so thankful that you were sent to me as your teacher and provider, life may seem hectic at the moment, but this will certainly make us stronger as a family. I love and respect you and lets make life a beautiful one, as long as we have each other.

To my gorgeous friends whom have been my backbone the last 6 months, oh my what more can I say your all so special to me and i love you all and very appreciated of your support, love and understanding.

So I hope this little posts helps you in some way. Be thankful for what you have, because life is too short to be spending it worrying about the what ifs and could have's. A life lived in fear is a life half lived!!!

June Sketch Challenge

Please find below the details for the June 2010 Sketch Challenge. Sorry I haven't any prize pack and display picture up as yet, but I will endeavour to have available by the end of the week.

The June Sketch Design

How you interpret the sketch is initially up to you. You can choose what ever Papers, Embellishments and Theme you like. All I ask is that you follow the sketch and keep in mind the original outlay of it all.

You may choose to flip it, turn it on its side or even make it a double. The list of possibilities are endless, so go forth and create.

Submission & Cut off time:

Please submit your entries onto the new ning site for Scrap.n.Art in the album provided (February Sketch Challenge) or to my email address scrap.n.art@hotmail.com by the 29th of June 2010, this will allow ample time for the judging to take place in the slide show area and the winner will be announced on the 30th of June 2010.

Biography:

Hi, I'm Tiff Sawyer, wife to my wonderful husband Adrian & mum of 2 beautiful children Billy & Alana.

I've been interested in scrapbooking for about 5 years now and seriously scrapping since September 2008. I always had decorated diaries and memorabilia books as a kid, so it was destined to be that I fall in love with this craft. I have to do some scrapbooking each day, whether it be gathering photos, planning and/or doing layouts or I feel like I'm missing out on something. I love documenting life's little moments (both good and bad), which would in time, otherwise be forgotten. I often imagine members of my family looking at these pages in years to come and these images make me so happy.

I have made so many fabulous friends through this wonderful craft who I chat with regularly online and some of whom I've had the pleasure of meeting IRL. Scrapbooking and blog hopping has now become such a huge part of my life that I couldn't imagine life without them. I could happily live without a mobile phone, but not without my blog and computer LOL.

Apron ATC Swap

Just thought I would share with you an ATC (Artist Trading Card) that I have recently completed for a closed swap. The theme set for June was Apron's. I immediately thought of my design whilst I was sitting there with the ladies.

Another ATC Completed for a closed swap

Good Morning:)

Another post for me today, I'm on a roll!

Just wanted to share with you all a ATC (artist trading card) I have completed recently for a closed swap with nine fabulous creators.

The theme was set for May of the Wild Wild West. Originally I had my mind set on Annie Oakley the famous female quick shooter, but my mind started to drift towards the actual show that Annie was in and that being of Buffalo Bills Wild Wild West show.

So I have now completed a dimensional ATC of the Buffalo Bills Wild West "The White Eagle" guiding and guarding atc for my final take. I used the earthy tones in this one as the picture has alot of it in it. I raised the horse and rider and the white eagle and added some cream mesh on the background. I hope the ladies who are receiving them like them. It took me a little to create the raised pictures on four different levels, but I'm very happy with the outcome.

G'Day!

Well I have had a busy couple of weeks just gone. New stock has arrived and is uploaded into the gallery over at my ning site, ATC swaps to complete, glorious friends coming to scrap with me here last Saturday and the list goes on.

I did want to share with you though the final challenge piece for the Enchanted Scrapbooking competition. The last challenge was to create a layout using the inspiration of a picture + a sketch:) This week I decided to keep it simple and give some craft card a go! Week Five of the Scrap Boutique's Challenge

Good evening

Just thought I would share a quick post in relation to the challenge that I completed over at the Scrap Boutique Postcards challenge.

This week landed us in Japan! The extra criteria for the challenge was to incorporate paper folding of some sort. I decided to create a little paper fan, made from handmade papers.

I completed the layout using a photograph of my Brother, sister-in law and Nephew who live in Tokyo. I tried to use all the colours that where in the example sheet, so I hope I did it correctly!

My layout is called:

Wear It with Pride and Confidence.

Week Four of the Postcards Challenge

Hi there!

Thought I would share my interpretation of the Week 4 - Scrap Boutique "Postcards from around the world" with you. Last week's challenge set us deep in the heart of "India".

The extra criteria for last week's challenge was to add more then one photo.

The photographs were taken at a Curry Festival that happen annually at Woolgoolga, where I used to live. The belly dancers and Indian Food stall were perfect for what I wanted to create, I hope you like it to.

Challenge One was to create a layout regarding your everyday life. I decided that I was going to do a layout on the things that I seem to do everyday. I often find myself writing list so I keep on track of what does and can be completed the next day so to speak!

I have added photo's of my wardrobe, kettle, computer, washing, blog site, etc etc the journalling reads about the above mentioned, keeping track of things and my daily routine.

Biography:

I have been a scrapbooker for 6 years, live in Northern NSW in Lismore with my wonderful husband Brett and their two children. Scrapbooking has provided so much joy to my life, brought the most amazing experiences and friendships to cherish.

I thought I would post up a little about this wonderful competition over at the Scrap Boutique. The Ideas and inspiration are coming from Postcards from all around the world. The talented Stylist Emma Stafrace, has collated this weeks challenge and the theme this week was Italy.

What been happening

Good Afternoon All

Wow! April is certainly going fast for me. Sorry I ha vent been on the last week or so to update, its been very busy here!

Last week saw me over at Lisa's house on Friday evening having a scrap session with the lovely ladies Lisa, Amanda and Belynda. It was a fantastic evening, laughing chatting and creating. I did manage to actually get my ATC's started for the month of May and also a layout completed and another one started. OMG I must'nt have been gas bagging as my usual self would LOLOLOLOL.

Anyhow below you will see the layout I finished called "Rock On Dude" A picture of my son and our friends son on Christmas day sitting back chill'n please see layout below. The other layout I started to prep on paper was for the Mad About Scrapping Cyber Crop Challenge.

I wasn't registered for the event on the night, but with Lisa telling us about the details required, I thought to myself they are great ingredients for a layout, so the next day I completed the layout called "Bloom like the flowers in the Garden". Please see below:)

Good Morning and Happy Easter to all:)

Just wanted to share another couple of layouts with you, that I have completed over the weekend so far. My Mojo has kicked in and I'm on a high as to what I am creating:)

Postcard from Coffs Coast:

A layout of the kids and Jay at Coffs Harbour Jetty. We had to go down for my yearly checkup for my Cancer, but the whole weekend was lovely and well what more can I say, I'm cancer free and happy:):):)

A layout of my little babe, doing her thang!!! She loves to dance and sing around the house all the time.

Under Watchful Eye's:

A layout of Elle a friends daughter. We were waiting for (Belynda) Elle's mum to jump 4000 mtrs(sky diving) and land on the beach near our old house Arrawarra. This is just a gorgeous shot of Elle, her parents call Elle the silent assassin. LOL Elle sure talks with her eye's!!!

Good Evening all

Wow! Where has the week gone? Anyhow, just a quick note to share some layouts that I completed last week, maybe the mojo is flowing again :)

Last Wednesday Lisa came over and we had a wonderful day, chatting, scrapping and laughing. I got started on a layout of Dakota and finally finished it. I called it "She's all that"! A fitting title to the pic. She is such a little poser, I wonder where she gets that from! LOL

I was pumped from the the outcome of Dakota's layout that I thought only fair I now start on one for Curtis. His layout is titled "Everybody can be COOL, but AWESOME takes practice" I titled based around his whole personal development at the moment. My little man is growing up!!!

My Layout is called ~ "Love"

Biography:

My name is Angela Bailey and the owner of Scrap.n.Art. I thought to myself apart from my small caption on the sidebar here on my blog and for those who actually know me, I thought this would be a great opportunity to display myself and a few details regards to Scrap.n.art or S.N.A as most have come to know it and me now.

I started Scrapping back in 2002 when I was introduced to this fabulous hobby from a girlfriend of mine who said it’s the bee’s knee’s of craft work and how true her comment become. I found myself going to bed each night with visions of layouts and colours and the excitement of wanting to venture out and try new techniques. So I started with stickers, papers and a little ribbon and from that day on never turned back, I now just have a little more understanding about how much imagination can go towards a page!

I have designed for a couple of scrapping websites over the years, but found myself wanting to create something for myself. So I begun the small business called Scrap.n.Art! It is a venture that is everyday still in the making, but so exciting about the possibilities as well.

I hold a monthly Sketch Challenge that includes a free prize pack every month and has been running for the past 2 years, something that I am very proud of and very grateful for the members who participate, without sharing inspiration I believe we wouldn't grow! The biggest record month was back in February 2009 when I had over 22 participants in the running, overwhelmed I was by the response and not just from my Australian participants but also my overseas guest.

I encourage all forms of scrapbooking both traditional and digital. I have had a go at digi, less mess of course but when it comes to seeing the expressions on my kids faces to what I have used and they can feel and touch I think it goes without saying that paper and glue suits me well.

I wouldn't say I have a particular style of scrapbooking, but one of diversity.lol I love rustic and earthy tones, but also love to experiment with the bold and bright colours also. I have been published twice in “Scrapbooking Memories” and am currently in the position of being published again in Vol 12 No. 6 this year for a feature article on Inking and Stamping, so keep your eye’s peeled;0

Well that’s pretty much me and my aspirations in a nut shell!!! I do appreciate you viewing this blog and my ning sites for inspiration and friendship and I look forward to seeing you all around cyber space real soon;)

I completed my ATC for February

Good Evening

Wow! Where does the weekend go?! Anyhow I had a fabulous one. Saturday I had a very productive day around the house, cleaning and getting the gardens into order, well as best as they can at this stage with all the rain and wind. lol

Saturday evening was lovely, I had Emma come over for dinner and we got to catch up on the weeks events and also have a good chinwag and scrap.

Today I finally got to sleep in (YES I KNOW) are rare event for me. A nice cuppa to start the morning off and I began to prepare myself for the days events. I wanted to accomplish so much today scrap wise, but was over joyed just to be scrapping.

The first couple of months have been a bit of a ride off for me as the new move took place and for other personal reasons I really just wasn't in the mood and lost all MOJO :(:(:(

But anyhow I finished my February ATC swap for the SNA ning site and I now today have organised and finished my ATC Swap details and cards for April, so happy with them and just to be getting messy again with paper, glue and my creativity. Below are my February ones, but you will have to keep posted next week for the details on the April ATC Swap;)

My take on the February SNA ATC swap : New Beginnings

I'm even more happier now that I know that things are settling for me and the family, maybe some time off from scrapping will bring new creative energy and inspiration too.

I have my up coming feature article in the SBM Vol 12 No. 6 so very excited about that and looking forward to placing some more submissions through this year also.
